What if I told you that you could manifest something overnight. Anything. In any aspect of your life.
You’d probably (and correctly) doubt me. Probably assume I was a crazed cult leader or trying to sell you my new book (or my second-hand copy of the Law of Attraction perhaps).
However, the manifestation process is nothing new.
The daily practice has floated around out there but only more recently have we given it a name: manifestation.
Big-name books like The Secret have come along and brought the manifestation practice into the cultural zeitgeist however very, very few of us ever stick with the manifestation journey and actually see results.
And that’s a shame.
The manifestation mindset is so absurdly powerful it has the ability to bring some real change to your life once you embrace the full power of your mind and subconscious.
So, can you embrace your full potential?
What Does Manifestation Mean (Spiritually)?
I’m not Webster’s dictionary and people argue about the actual definition. But, if you really take it back to basics, it means bringing your dreams into reality using your thoughts and beliefs.
It means not being a prisoner of current or past circumstances.
It means bringing real change into your life, not by just sitting around and waiting for it to happen but by actively changing your reality.
Remember: The universe doesn’t know what you want.
It only knows what you’re doing now. So it can only react to your current actions and circumstances.
The act of manifestation really means pointedly telling the universe: This is what I want and I’m going to damn well get it.
Manifestation means influencing situations, events and people to attract change into your life.
Can You Really Manifest Anything?
Whether it’s love, money, getting your dream job or just attracting general abundance and positive vibes into your life. Maybe you want to get super specific in a certain area of your life.
The what doesn’t matter.
The how matters.
How do I Start Manifesting Something?
Manifestation works by aligning your vibration with the outcome you want to see.
There’s a big difference in manifestation and wishful thinking.
If positive thinking alone was enough to get whatever we wanted, we would all win the lottery and be sipping Mai Tais by now.
(You can absolutely find someone willing to tell you this is the case. But to really get results from manifestation you’re going to have to face reality).
There are a bunch of very specific manifestation techniques that I’ll cover further down (and our workbook takes you step-by-step through them). These techniques help focus your mind and help prevent common mistakes but, if we boil it right down:
Step 1) Examine Your Mindset
It’s easy to assume we have a positive mindset towards something but the reality I see with a lot of members is there’s some strong negative energy floating just below the surface.
For example, you might think you’re positive about reaching your dream life (whatever that looks like to you) but when it comes to making actual, proactive steps towards it you think what is the point? That goal is so far away.
Negative affirmations are more potent than positive ones. You need to be brutally honest with yourself here and find the root of these thoughts.
Past experience? Cultural norms?
Don’t worry. It’s perfectly normal to doubt the power of manifestation. If everyone did it perfectly the world would be in a much better state and following some of the techniques we’ll cover will help you root out these thoughts and replace them with positive ones.
Step 2) Intentional Action (Co-create With the Universe)
An important part of the manifesting process is actually taking steps towards your goal.
Again, I don’t care what anyone has told you, it’s not as simple as just having a positive mindset. You have to know that or neither of us would be here right now.
There has to be some form of action on your part. Help the universe help you.
Whatever your manifestation goal is – you need to at least start taking small actionable steps towards it.
For example, if you’re trying to manifest a job you need to actually start applying and going to interviews. Wishful thinking is not going to bring someone to your door with a job offer unless you’ve done something to attract them.
Step 3) Persistence (Even After Seeing Results)
While you can absolutely start manifesting something overnight the universe doesn’t always make things that easy.
There’s a lot of factors at play from your current vibrational state to how close you are to the goal to begin with. For example: manifestation isn’t going to make you a surgeon overnight if your only experience is playing the Operation board game.
The right techniques can speed things up.
In fact, I generally suggest picking one of the more specific techniques (whichever one suits you) and sticking to it until you see results.
But successful manifestation often comes in stages. You can start manifesting change overnight but the end result might take time.
I know that isn’t what most people want to hear. But I’m all about you getting actual success with manifestation. Not just telling you what you want to hear.
And even when you do start seeing change that doesn’t mean it’s time to stop. If anything it means you need to step on the gas.
How Do You Start Manifestating Small Things (for Beginners)
One of the mistakes I see people make is trying to run before they can walk.
I’m all for you working towards a dream partner and even a yacht if that’s what you want but your vibrational energy might take some work.
So maybe start with something smaller. Seeing some results there will gear you up to start tackling the bigger goals in life.
But be specific.
Know what you want and make sure the universe knows it too.
What Are Some Manifestation methods?
There are many different approaches to manifestation and very few hard-set rules. I’ll cover a couple of the main ones you’ll hear talked about below, as well as cover most of them in the manifestation workbook.
While specific techniques can help you’ll also see people see success with meditation, visualization and affirmations. If you have something that works for you, don’t let me steer you away from that.
If you’re just getting started (or you’ve seen limited results in the past) I do suggest following the workbook or a specific manifestation tool just to make things easy and help you avoid some of the common pitfalls.
Some of the specific methods I’ll cover (in no particular order):
- Gratitude loops.
- Pillow method.
- Manifestation scripting.
- 5×55 method.
- Specific manifestation meditations.
- 2 cup manifestation method.
- A manifestation box.
- Manifestation journals.
- Vision boards.
